Who Is A LoneWorker?
Lone workers are those who work by themselves without close or direct supervision.
Legal Responsibility
Employers have a duty of care towards their employees, under the Terms of the Health & Safety At Work Act (1974). The LoneWorker system attempts to assist employers in protecting their employees.
The LoneWorker System
A lone worker logs on to our system identifying themselves by means of a unique PIN number and Company ID. If we have not heard from the lone worker by the expected finish time, from any touch tone phone, our Alarm Receiving Centre operators make several attempts to reach the lone worker, and if no contact is possible, we will then escalate the call to predetermined 'guardians'.
