What Is DoorMinder?

Customers can call the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to request us to:

  • Unlock/lock a door
  • Disarm/arm the alarm system
  • Turn lights on or off
  • Raise a barrier

Case Study

A National Retailer wanted to accept deliveries during the night instead of daytime, thus maximising the number of deliveries that can be made per shift and reducing costs. However, as their sites would be locked up and alarmed throughout the night, this presented another problem - it was not viable simply to issue a full set of keys along with alarm codes for each site as this posed a security risk.

How Does It Work?

Customers are issued a password or PIN to authorise actions. Using our RAM system, customers can log on via the internet and enter the Chubb code for the first site on the driver's route.

When the driver arrives at each site, he or she must identify themselves by means of their PIN or password in order to gain access. As the driver leaves each site, the ARC is advised which will be the next site on his or her route and provides another password. On arrival at that next site the driver must identify himself and quote the password to get access to site... this is repeated until the completion of the route.
